Our Mission/Vision

We are committed to the development and personal growth of new and continuing students, helping them to successfully navigate academic and social opportunities at Nova Southeastern University. Additionally, we help students prepare for challenges they will face upon graduating.

Our Purpose

The purpose and functions of the First Year and Transitional Programs office is to address issues of adjustment that students face when transitioning from high school to college and from college to the work place. We are responsible for New Student Orientation for undergraduate students on and off campus. We also support several "academic" courses, including Mastering Student Success for freshman and seniors Transitioning into the business world and beyond.
