10K-A-Day

Congratulations to 10K-A-DAY participant Linda Hoge for reaching 30,287 steps!

Linda Hoge

Linda Hoge, participant of the Campus Recreation 10K-A-DAY program walked 30,287 steps in the Seabrook Lucky Trail 1/2 marathon in Houston, Texas on March 18. She started the program back in October and has reached 10,000 steps and above...

"The main reason why I joined the 10K program was because I needed to lose weight and start exercising. Walking seemed the best "path" to take. It's free, you are outside, and is one of the best ways to get back into shape, physically and mentally. My daughter-in-law, Veronica, is an avid marathoner and I must credit her with getting me out there to do a ½ marathon. I thank the NSU 10K program and Veronica for helping me achieve what I have so far. I still have a long way to go but have been very proud of my accomplishments so far!" - Linda Hoge
