NSU Shark Shuffle 5K Run and Walk
On Sunday, October 11th, at 7:30 a.m., as many as 1000 runners and walkers will begin the fourth annual USATF certified NSU Shark Shuffle 5K Run and Walk.
The motto of the 5K is Raising Dollars for Active Scholars. NSU students who participate, either as runners or walkers, are able to enter a random drawing for over 20 Deans’ $500 Active Scholar grants. Participating University School students will be eligible to win one of five Headmaster’s $100 Active Scholar grants. And because we don’t want to leave anyone out, NSU faculty, staff, and alumni, along with community runners and walkers, will be entered in a drawing for a trip for two on American Airlines to anywhere in North America. So be sure to stick around after the race: You must be present to win!
Every year the number of participants increases, along with the warm community spirit generated by running, walking, and rolling together. And this year we're going green with organic t-shirts guaranteed for everyone who registers early. So come and join us! Plenty of water and food will be available; music will be playing; kids will be laughing; and we'll all be giving our bodies a friendly workout.
