Take a Bite of NSU at Shark Preview!
Congratulations on your acceptance to Nova Southeastern University and welcome to the Shark Community! We would like to invite you to campus for two fun-filled days to experience what it’s like to be a NSU shark.
Shark Preview is your chance to attend a real college class, get introduced to student organizations, meet fellow students, take part in a student event on campus and see that Nova Southeastern University is the right fit for you! We will make sure that you get to interact with current students, and have your questions answered by the Undergraduate Admissions Office, Financial Services, and much more.
What to expect
Students will receive information about academic programs, campus resources, and student life through a series of workshop presentations and shared learning activities. You will be greeted by current students who will guide you through the experience and help you become comfortable with the campus.
Cost of the Program
The Shark Preview program is free to student attendees. The only cost of attendance is the travel expense that you will incur to attend the program. We will provide your lodging, shuttle service to and from the airport, and food throughout the program.
Lodging
All students attending Shark Preview will stay overnight in the Commons Residence Hall. Please note CHECK-IN is at 10 a.m. in the Commons Residence Hall.
Shark Preview Hosts
Our Shark Preview hosts are a diverse group of current NSU students who have been selected and trained to assist you during your visit. When you arrive at Shark Preview, you will be placed in a small group of students with an assigned host. The hosts are excellent sources of information about how to become successful at NSU.
What to bring
Upon your arrival your room will be set up for you with linens, sheets, blankets, and towels. All you need to bring is your own personal items and toiletries.
Parents
A separate parent and family program will be offered simultaneously during the first day of the Shark Preview program. Please encourage your family members to attend!
Family members should arrange their own accommodations and transportation to and from campus. Some hotels offer a shuttle service so please check directly with them when you make reservations. Please visit NSU’s Travel office website for information on local hotels, as well as discounts on personal/leisure travel.
Directions
Nova Southeastern University is located on a beautiful 300-acre campus in Fort Lauderdale. Please visit our Getting Around website to access transportation information about airline and shuttle information, as well as driving directions to Nova Southeastern University’s Shark Preview program. Select the parking permit that corresponds with the date you are attending Shark Preview. Parking permits MUST BE DISPLAYED on the dashboard of your car for you to use during your stay at our program.
