NSU Equestrian is a club sport and competitive hunter seat team that competes in Zone 5, Region 5 of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. Any undergraduate at NSU is eligible to become a part of the IHSA team, which has competitive opportunities for both beginning and experienced riders. All IHSA team members train weekly in equitation with coach Jackie George at Four Gs Equestrian Center in Coconut Creek, FL. Team members travel throughout Florida and Georgia to compete against other universities in collegiate horse shows. Additionally, any undergraduate or graduate student may participate in club events to foster their love of horses, including riding and horse care, social events, and volunteer opportunities in the horse community.
